Inspired the real life Newsboy Strike of 1889, this Disney musical tells the story of a rebellious newsboy who dreams of a life as an artist far away from New York City.

CTW celebrated its 50th anniversary in the Spring of 2024 with a Retrospective Show and Gala at the Winnetka Community House.
Hosted by Meg Weldon, daughter of Barbara Weldon, a founder of CTW, the evening featured a look back at our fifty years of shows, costumes and casts. Performances by notable alumni and recent graduates, as well as, a lively reception and auction made the night one to remember. Thank you to Meg and everyone who has supported our program since its inception in 1974.
